In 1850, Karuvan Vaidyar, our great grand father, started his treatment in Ayurveda, especially in Agatha Thandram, that is Toxicology. He was very eminent in that field. Later in 1956, his son K.P. Balakrishnan Vaidyar started a branch in Wayanad at Kalpetta. He mainly gave his service to rural area of Wayanad. He started an Ayurvedic medical shop by the name "Kannur Ayurvedic Pharmacy" at Kalpetta town along with OP section partially. In 1982, IP section started with all type of ayurvedic treatments by his son Dr. Vinod Babu B.A.M.S, M.D, C.N.C, C.N.H. 1987 onwards Dr. Jeeja Vinod Babu B.A.M.S, wife of Dr.Vinod Babu came in the director position. Now she is running this KAMSH & YRC with full swing and became a well-established one in this sector.
